What are stem cells?

How are stem cells harvested?
Dr. Cheryl Burgess harvests stem cells from patients through a blood draw and then the stem cells are removed using a centrifuge. This reduces down to platelet rich plasma. The isolated stem cells are then reintroduced into the body through the scalp.
