Patients in and around the areas of Annapolis, MD and Washington, DC are excited to learn about non-invasive solutions to their skin care concerns. When patients come into the practice of the Center for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, they are often seeking a way of turning back the hands of time and improving their appearance when fine lines and wrinkles develop from skin laxity. Dr. Cheryl Burgess is a board certified dermatologist who works with new and existing patients in her practice to educate them on the ways in which injections can dramatically enhance the way they look.
Using injectables such as Belotero® is often suggested for patients who are interested in addressing very fine lines often present around the mouth and eyes. Belotero® is a very thin hyaluronic acid gel that can be administered in more delicate areas than other injectables available at our practice. Belotero® is commonly used to improve problems such as:
- Marionette lines that follow the corners of the mouth to the chin
- Lines around the mouth (laugh lines)
- Smile lines (nasolabial folds)
- Hollows around the eyes
- Crow’s feet
- Lip lines and other fine lines around the mouth area
Most patients are appropriate candidates to undergo Belotero® injections. Belotero® appointments are rather fast as the injections take minimal time. Dr. Cheryl Burgess will determine the areas of concern and administer the product into the skin. This is done after the application of numbing cream, which can improve comfort during the injection sessions. Patients will have some redness and tenderness at the injection site, but this is minor and short-term.
At the Center for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, we encourage new and current patients of our practice to take the time to learn about our anti-aging solutions. Restore your youthful appearance in just one visit with Dr. Cheryl Burgess by booking a consultation appointment today!
