Dr. Cheryl Burgess sees many patients in her practice who are interested in turning back the hands of time. When fine lines and wrinkles develop, it can cause patients to feel self-conscious about their appearance. They may look old when they feel young inside. Skin tightening procedures are often requested by patients in and around the areas of Washington, DC and Annapolis, MD. Instead of plastic surgery, patients can enjoy non-invasive options such as Pellevé.
Pellevé is a special device that is used to combine fractional CO2 and Erbium to tighten the skin and smooth fine lines and wrinkles on the facial area. The device was cleared by the Food and Drug Administration in 2009 for treating mild to moderate facial wrinkles.
During a Pellevé appointment, patients can expect to immediately return to normal activities after treatment. While the face may be red and sensitive following treatment, this often goes away within a day and it can be covered with cosmetics. Treatment is comfortable and with the proper number of sessions, patients can expect their results to last many months before further appointments are necessary. This treatment can also be combined with other services for amazing results, including neuromodulators and dermal fillers. Patients are advised to consult with their dermatologist to determine which treatments are best for achieving the results they want to see.
Dr. Cheryl Burgess and the staff of the Center for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery are here to help.
