Dr. Cheryl M. Burgess is the founder, medical director and president of the Center for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, P.C. in Washington, DC. She is also the director of an Allergan sponsored Botox Cosmetic® Training Center. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Georgetown University Medical Center and George Washington University Hospital located in the District of Columbia.

Dr. Burgess earned her doctorate of medicine degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC in 1984 and completed a residency in Dermatology in 1988. She is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Women's Dermatologic Society, American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, Dermatology Foundation, Medical Society of the District of Columbia and the District of Columbia Dermatological Society.

Dr. Burgess has clinical interests in general dermatology, dermatologic surgery in addition to aesthetic dermatological procedures. Her clinical expertise comprises cosmetic and therapeutic use of botulinum toxin A, soft tissue fillers and volumizers in addition to scar revision. She has been recognized as one of the best dermatologists by her peers in the Washingtonian and Washington Consumer's Checkbook Magazines. Dr. Burgess is a consultant and on the advisory board to the National Education Faculty for Allergan Inc., BioCosmetic Research Labs, Dermik Laboratories, Johnson & Johnson, Medicis and the Medical Education Faculty for Bioform makers of Radiesse.

Dr. Burgess has been profiled in numerous publications and commentaries including USA Today, The Washington Post, The Philadelphia Tribune and various Women's Magazines. She is an author and senior editor of a peer review textbook- Cosmetic Dermatology, Springer-Verlag Publishers. Additionally, she is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has been featured in print advertisements in People, US News & World Report, Newsweek, In Style, Glamour, Goodhousekeeping, Woman's Day, Oprah, More and Self Magazines, and televised advertisements for Allergan. She has appeared in broadcasts with Fox News, National Public Radio, NBC, ABC, AARP Broadcasts as well as international news broadcasts Korea, Malaysia and Amsterdam.
